A consistent response and Berkshire-wide cooperation and support is at the heart of the Berkshire Adults Safeguarding Policy and Procedures website.
The new website provides valuable information on safeguarding across the whole of Berkshire, as well as how to report concerns and instances of abuse. The policies and procedures will also support staff in social care to ensure that they can respond appropriately to concerns relating to abuse and neglect.
Members of the public will also be able to use the website to learn about what to look out for and how to report any concerns. The website promotes the Safeguarding Board's vision of Berkshire-wide cooperation and support across all agencies to prevent and reduce the risk of harm to adults at risk.
The Hate Crime Network is a project run by Milton Keynes Equality Council commissioned by the Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner to work across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
They work to raise awareness of hate crime amongst individuals, groups and organisations working with communities at risk from hate crime and offer those who have experienced it the opportunity to report to a third party instead of the Police if they are concerned or worried.
They support individuals who have experienced hate crime ensuring they feel they are getting the best deal from the Criminal Justice System and are listened to.
